We are looking to expand our team with an awesome (and first) HR Specialist.


Are you eager to bring your talents to a fast growing startup and help farmers store CO2 by transitioning towards regenerative agriculture?


We are looking for someone curious, rigorous, good in communication, able to work independently and willing to build and structure the HR environment in a growing company.


Soil Capital is a mission-driven company with long expertise in regenerative agriculture and low-carbon transition of agricultural systems. Operating internationally, Soil Capital's ambition is to accompany farmers in the transition of one million hectares to more profitable and regenerative agriculture by 2025.


We have developed Europe's first certified carbon payment programme for farmers, called Soil Capital Carbon. It allows farmers to measure and certify their carbon footprint each year, while valuing their reduced carbon emissions and/or increased soil carbon storage on the carbon markets. Agricultural and food companies use Soil Capital Carbon as a transition tool to engage their farmers in a certified low-carbon approach and build new value opportunities through the development of certified low-carbon value chains.


Soil Capital Carbon is supported by mySoilCapital, a farmer and partner portal that collects, processes and delivers data so that farmers and partners can implement better regenerative and low carbon agriculture.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Handle recruitment and all employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Elaborate career progression as well as training opportunities within the company
  • Put in place a performance management within the company
  • Increase and monitor employees satisfaction and wellbeing within the company
  • Improve the office set-up by making our offices a great working environment
  • Build and communicate on the company culture
  • Enrich and maintain our HR software (BambooHR)
  • Streamline all existing (and non-existing) HR procedures
  • Oversee all external HR advisors relationship


Once you will be confortable with above responsibilities you will also

  • Oversee existing subsidies admin and investigate for new potential subsidies
  • Develop our Comp & Ben policy



    What about you?

    • You have a strong interest in Soil Capital's environmental and social mission.
    • You have developed strong interpersonal, influencing and collaborative skills.
    • You are able to work independently while being a great team player.
    • You have 3 to 5 years of experience in HR
    • You speak French and English at a professional level (France is our biggest market to date), Dutch is a plus
